Martin House's taproom is located at 220 S Sylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76111. They first opened their doors in 2013 and have continued to roll out unique craft beers since. Martin House operates with nine year-round brews plus a seemingly endless rotation of special releases.
The year round selections
Best Maid Sour Pickle Beer Bockslider Toadies Texas Bock Cellarman's Reserve IPA Day Break Friday IPA The Imperial Texan Martin House Pils The Salty Lady Gose True Love Raspberry Sour
A personal favorite from the year round selection is "True Love". This kettle soured ale is extremely drinkable without the sourness or raspberry flavor becoming over powering.
The Specials
There are too many specialty/seasonal releases to list them all, but these are a few of our favorites.
Banana's Foster, Dessert Beer
Colombiana, Barrel-aged Stout
Super Fast Jellyfish, Pineapple Sour
Kookie Monster, Barrel-aged Stout
Kokytus, Barrel-aged Stout
We loved all of the specials listed, but one we were super fond of was Kookie Monster. This beer was equivalent to drinking a girl scout's thin mint cookie! Very strong but very very drinkable.
The brewery has a large patio in the back overlooking the river where they usually host local bands and food trucks. We loved our time there for one of their Saturday events, $10 gets you a free Martin House pint glass plus four 8oz pours. Those Saturday events are a great time to get in and try some unique brews out back under the patio. Usually, they will offer some of the year-round beers with a couple of special beers. If you follow the Bayou Barley Instagram is will become obvious we love a good Martin House special release!
