Review: Peanut Butter Milk Stout

Brewed by Left Hand Brewing Company

Milk Stout

ABV: 6.2%

"Rhythm and Blues. Batman and Robin. Peanut Butter and Chocolate. These classic duos never go out of style. Enter Peanut Butter Milk Stout. We took the pure milk chocolate bliss of our classic Milk Stout and added peanut buttery goodness. It’s like an adult peanut butter cup you can drink. It’s rich and decadent on the palate and lusciously lingers into a nutty, dry finish. A perfect pair you’ll want to share."

Left Hand's Peanut Butter Milk Stout gives you immediate aromas of peanuts, peanut butter, and chocolate upon opening. The smells remain the same through pouring and reminds you of a peanut butter dessert. The pour results in a tan head that dissipates quickly.

This one feels somewhat thin and almost watery on the tongue. You do get the taste of peanut butter and chocolate but we feel some richness would have sent this beer over the top.

Overall it was a beer that is worth trying especially if you are in the mood for peanut butter. I'm sure this beer will find a way to our fridge again at some point.
