American Strong Ale
ABV: 7%
"Pray For Snow was built to keep you warm in those cold winter months. The malt bill is constructed to be rich in flavor with notes of molasses, dark caramel, spice, and raisin. English EKG hops were used to add an herbal spiciness and complement the other flavors in this winter ale."
Drank this one off of the tap at 10 Barrel Brewing Co in Denver, CO.
Pray for Snow is a somewhat opaque, dark red amber color. The aromas I got were toffee, toasted dark bread, and dark fruits. The taste mostly follows the nose but I did get some citrus notes that I didn't catch on the nose.
It has a medium bodied mouth feel and you get warmth from the alcohol. It drinks similar to a dopplebock.
This was a solid beer but their Korean BBQ chicken sandwich was even better! Seriously, give this chicken sandwich a try and wash it down with their Pray for Snow.
