Review: Ridiculous AF

"Russian Imperial Stout with Peanut Butter & Choc Milk Stout. Ridiculous AF is a Russian Imperial Stout with peanut butter and chocolate. A big beer with rich flavor. "part of our And Fun" series"- Saloon Door

Saloon Door Brewing

Ridiculous AF

Russian Imperial Stout

12% ABV, 100% awesome

Our first peanut butter beer was Gnarly Barley's Korova Peanut Butter Porter. That beer was amazing; we LOVED it. We foolishly assumed all peanut butter beers were created equally. This could not be further from the truth. We don't believe in trashing breweries so the names of the not-tasty peanut butter beers won't be listed. Just know they have some bad ones out there.

We accidentally stumbled upon Ridiculous AF on a trip to Webster, TX. Saloon Door Brewing was located a quarter mile down the road from our hotel by chance. In a moment of pure serendipity, we became introduced to the peanut butter guys at Saloon Door. Our first night there we met Alex who showed us something magical, a world of different styled peanut butter beers. The magical part was they were all GREAT; we'll go further into detail with our Saloon Door article.

Ridiculous AF pours a dark dark color with a thick peanut butter colored head. The head manages to stay firm and not vanish like many beers. The immediate aroma is you guessed it PEANUT BUTTER. Initially, the taste is of a rich malty, boozy, chocolate stout, but then it arrives the promised punch of peanut butter. This is a great thick stout to dive into the world of imperials with. Bayou Barley heavily recommends Ridiculous AF.
