True Love was the second sour ale to be made year-round by Martin House Brewery. The beer's purple hue comes from the fresh raspberries added directly into the fermenter. This helps create a sour similar to Martin House's Salty Lady Sour, but True Love comes out just a tad bit sweeter in our opinion.
Poured directly out of the can this beer is a pinkish/ purple color. The head-on this beer is small, not a large amount of carbonation in the can. The aroma has a solid raspberry scent and small notes of tartness. The taste is tart but still very sweet. There is a lot of raspberry flavor in this one. This beer is very drinkable, we would definitely label this as a good entry-level beer for drinkers new to the craft scene. We'll be adding a section to the website where you can find other great entry-level beers if you click here.
Our final verdict is this is a very easy drinking beer perfect for the upcoming summertime festivities. Pick up a 6 pack anywhere in east Texas.
