Fruit and Field Beer
ABV: 7.5%
"Set out and see where the adventure leads. Roam until your paradise appears—like this juicy, golden sunset of a beer. Take it all in with an aroma of just-picked fruit, bold hop flavor, and a bright burst of nectarine. Enjoy the ride."
When drinking a Sierra Nevada beer you can always bet on it being at the very least solid. That holds true with their Wanderland Nectarine Ale.
This beer pours a very clear yellow-gold with a white head. The aroma on this one is delectable. Strong notes of fresh, ripe nectarines come across the nose. Somewhat sweet but not of the artificial variety. You also get some notes of wheat. The taste echoes the smell. Very ripe and slightly sweet nectarine hits your tongue first and foremost . It feels light and crisp. A very refreshing beer that hides the ABV extremely well. This one drinks almost like a light beer.
This beer won't blow many craft beer connoisseurs but in the same breath it is a very solid beer that serves its place. Very good, although not great and definitely worth the drink--especially if you haven't tried it before.
